Two Construction Quality Awards for Sto Corp.
The Association of the Walls and Ceilings Industry (AWCI) hosted a lunch during their recent annual convention and INTEX Expo in Orlando, Florida to announce this year’s awards for Excellence in Construction Quality and Sto was named a winner in two categories.
The project team for the beautiful new Le Meridien / AC Hotel Denver Downtown won for their collective work in the EIFS category. HKS Architects in Dallas designed the project, and South Valley Prefab in Littleton, CO engineered 70 StoPanel Classic ci wall components working with Sto distributor ProCoat. The new hotel stands as a 100,000-square-foot landmark and a western showcase for panelization with Sto.

The second win was for Miami’s striking new Philip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science. The museum includes the 500,000 Gulf Stream Aquarium, and was singled out for AWCI’s Excellence in Construction Quality Award in the category of Steel Framing. The project team included Grimshaw Architects of New York and L&W Supply Corporation of Hialeah who provided 22,000 square feet of StoColor® Acryl Plus, the high-performance coating that protects against weather, salts and environmental pollutants. It looks good, too. https://lnkd.in/gP4NjPq
